Coast Road Race Cancellation Info - Email sent 3:30pm 17th March

Due to the coronavirus situation we have no option except to cancel the first two races of the Coast Road Race Series. This is also in accordance with England Athletics updated advice.

Please read the rest of this email carefully so you don’t email me to ask a question that is already answered!

For the avoidance of doubt, the Mermaid 10k (10^th April) and Spring Coast Road 5k (28^th April) are cancelled and will not be re-arranged.

Entries for the Everyone Active 10k (14^th June) and Summer Coast Road 5k (15^th July) have been suspended and will either re-open or be cancelled depending on how the situation develops.

What are we doing with your entry?

The situation is complicated by the fact we have some (most) people that have entered all five races as a series and received a discount whilst others have entered on a race by race basis.

Our default position is to defer your entry to 2021 which means you have a guaranteed place and no further charge. This gives you full value and me least work!

I will refund anyone who emails a request, the amount as per the table below ie the total entry fee paid less the EntryCentral processing charge included in that fee, which we can’t recover.

Those runners that have entered the whole series will need to enter the remaining individual races should we re-open entries. I will email you in advance on a race by race basis ahead of re-opening so that you are best placed to get an entry ahead of others.

Note if you have an entry originally purchased by someone else the refund will be to their card, not yours.

The situation that we all find ourselves in is without precedent but Keep Calm and Keep Washing Your Hands!
